Story Telling Essential for Toddlers

Hi friends!!! How are you guys doing!!!! All kids love story telling, don't they? But Why? The reason being they can explore, imagine and create their own visual imagery with the help of a story... Yes, I know we parents get tired to keep on telling stories...Try to maintain a good story time sessions in the noon and night times before they go off to sleep.... The early you start better... Young babies might not understand the language, concept but it helps their brains to open up to new stream of words, vowels and expressions... If you animate the stories, they will enjoy more and more.....

Get all the lovely fairy tale books that just a click away... Ifyou google you will get top story books online... Always inculcate the habit of reading books, having picture book session early in their childhood... Then they wont get bored or feel tired to study... You can make the story sessions interesting, by acting a bit out if your kids arent feeling too sleepy....

Who touched my rose plant.... Roar.....Roar is the favourite line of my daughter.... I used to ask her to hide herself in a bedsheet... I was her beast, who would yell loudly... Who touched my rose plant...Roar , roar and slowly would touch her and open the bedsheet.. Its fun and entertaining!!!!! Either through expressions, or through flashcards you can make them understand the story forever....

As you guys might know I have already created interesting videos on Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks, Golden Eggs, Silly Goats, for the kids to enjoyy...

Your support and feedback is very essential... Please write in to me and help me get to know what do you feel about my blog...

How to keep children away from chocolates!!!!

Hi friends! Today we will talk of an important topic of how to keep your little angels away from chocolates!!! A big huge battle isnt it? What ensues is arguments, lot of crying and what not.....

Everything good in a limitation is always good... Excessis always bad.... Kids tend to crave for chocolates more and more and harm their pearly white teeths... Tooth decay, cavities, tooth pain all start forming in the ugly way...

The practise of giving chocolates to kids starts from parents only...Once kid tastes it, he craves for more and more and his demands start to increase... What do we do?

Build lovely little stories....All kids love stories... Show them realpictures and make them understand...Also tell them worms will form and roll into their stomach if they eat chocolates... Then worms will grow and they will become a football.. Everyone will start making fun of them...

As parents, ensure that the kids keep brushing their teeth after consuming chocolates... Sometimes they even lose interest to have chocolates, due to the habit of brushing...

Stop rewarding kids via chocolates... Chocolates is not a solution for all problems.. You can instead gift some other useful items like compass box, books, clothes etc....

There are times when all off a sudden your closeby aunties, uncles come and pamper your kid with loads of chocolates... You cant stop the world..But you can definitely apply a rule of how much quanitity one is allowed.....

Divert kids attention from chocolates by giving fresh juices, fruits, flavoured yoghurts, homemade sweets or snacks....

Enjoy parenting and have a great chocolaty time!!!!!

Practice makes a child perfect

Hi friends. Hope you guys are having a good time. Today we will talk of how to train kids and make them perfect in writing skills.

Toddlers generally refrain to sit at one place and write. Remember don't force anything on them. They are too young. Negative comments can make them run away from writing.

Parents generally over react to child's inattention. It takes time for kids to accept a new form of learning.

Get interesting colorful books to write on. You get nice barbie writing activity books, Gold Star stickers learning books, Periwinkle exercise books are great.

Make a habit to spend at least 5 to 15 mins with your child. First teach them to hold pencil properly. You can also get portable plastic boards to teach them writing. I used color pencils to grab attention of my daughter.

Always reward kids if they complete or write perfectly. Consistent writing effort is important.

There are times when kids are in no mood to study. Leave them and divert their mind.

There is no room for scolding and arguments.

People might think that what is need for parents to teach. Teachers are there for this. But remember they learn better with practice.

Enjoy parenting n have great time....

All work and no play makes toddlers dull boy

Hi friends. How are things going on with you? Today lets talk of an interesting topic on the importance of outdoor activities in toddlers.

There is a popular saying "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy". Let's impeovise it and say all work and no play makes toddlers dull boys and girls.

  • Remember physical training is of utmost importance. Encourage your child to participate in sports, scouts, and various other programs.
  • Dont make him a bookworm. Its essential that child gets overall development.
  • Dont allow kids to spend too much time in video games, computers and other media
  •  Try to deviate and divert their attention towards playgrounds, parks and refreshing centres.
  • Physical activity stimulates growth
  • They learn teamwork, sharing and patience.
  • It improves their reflex action and their vision
  • We are responsible for their mental as well as physical growth. Often we ignore the physical strength.

Image Building for Kids- New video

Hi friends!!! Look at my new video where I am teaching building images in a unique manner. Its not the regular boring blocks, but colorful pieces that can make your toddler imagine and build his own creation. I have tried to create ABCDs, different shapes and figures and even flowers with these wonderful blocks.

Remember you can teach your toddlers even when they are playing. Its not necessary to keep holding a book all the time. You can teach them as they play or even when they take bath.

LOVE YOUR CHILD, DONT HIT HIM

Hi friends! Today we will talk of an important sensitive topic of loving your child and not hitting or spanking him. We as parents are disciplinarians at every step of the child's growth. But, hitting your toddler is not a solution.

  • Hitting children in a way teaches children to be hitters themselves. If mommy and daddy hits, even I can hit my younger sister/brother or my friends.
  • A child is simply trying to explore and develop through time. If time and again he gets scolded or hit by his parents, he misses to receive his parent's positive undivided attention.
  • If you punish your child, he fails to understand how to resolve a conflict or an issue, in an effective humane way.
  • Hitting or spanking distracts your child emotionally. His or her bonding with her parents get disturbed.
  • Children tend to store the anger and emotional stress inside them. They don't understand how to destress themselves that can hamper their emotional development.
  • Love and spread love. They are the angels sent by the Almighty. Respect and cuddle them and teach them good things of life in a creative and imaginative way.
  • Let your children blossom in a delicate manner.

Teach Toddlers 5 ways to save money

Hi friends! Lets talk of an important topic of 5 best ways to teach toddlers to save money. We all know saving of money is essential throughout our lives, but the seeds of savings need to sown in early childhood itself. Children learn faster to adapt  than adults. So better be early than late.

  1. Don't always buy new things for your toddlers on their demand. Get a lovely looking piggy bank, or cartoon saving box to attract your child. I have got a lovely Doremon piggy bank for my daughter.
  2. Teach them that you need to save money in the bank to get things that you desire. Once the piggy bank is full, we will go for shopping together and buy you, your favourite teddy bear or toy.
  3. Always, set an example. Children love to ape the elders. You simply show your saving box or jar, and help them learn the art of saving.
  4. Allow your child to go creative with his piggy bank. Let him decorate his bank as he or she wants it.
  5. You can teach the older kids to maintain a dairy of his wish list.  You can even teach him the basics of banking so that he gets equipped in the art of saving. There will be instances when your child may take your purse and insist to give her the money to put in the bank. Trust me if you agree, you can see the angelic smile on her face. It
